Importance of the Project and the Motives

The war strived to shut down everything represents a way of life, including the fund of Hygiene and improvement in the Governorate of Taiz.

Everything related to the Fund of Hygiene was looted such as litter pins, garbage cranes, barrels and all related to the necessary suppliers of hygiene, the janitors salaries were cut, that the city and all in it get into a battle against garbage, the garbage piles swept all the city of Taiz suburbs and areas with no exception to begin the real conflict with serious diseases caused by garbage from Cholera, dengue and many disease.

More than 60 thousands resident were infected and some of them passed away as a result of these diseases.  

The initiative then sought to activate the fund of Hygiene and improvement through launching the sustainable hygiene project, which continued to clean the streets of the city for two consecutive months to raise more than 80 tons of accumulated garbage

Project Supervising Authority

Together for Humanity Development Organization (Together we shall not be defeated).

Project Commencement

The project was launched on 7/2016 to continue lifting garbage piles for two consecutive months to lift more than 80 tons of accumulated garbage. The Organization ensured that all the necessary requirements for the continuation of the project were provided according to their available capability.

Support Type

Provide garbage dumpsters, pay all workers' expenses, and provide all hygiene.

Suburbs and Areas that were targeted in the Project

The streets and areas of the main city of Taiz (Jamal Street -Lower and Upper Al Tahrir St. - 26 Street - Al Haud – Al Aginate – Al Mughtaribin - Sinan Suburb- Aqba Jamal Street – Al Ikhwa – Al Thawra).

Project Continuity 

The project continued for two consecutive months and was interrupted due to lack of support and the huge capability needed by the project.
