Importance of the Project and the Motives

Because of the counterfactual war and the siege imposed on the city - and as a result, all the fundamentals and elements of life disappeared, especially food and water, the city's residents reached the stage of salvation, they can't find their livelihood - the siege has increased the number of displaced and uprooted families, so the number of poor families has increased dramatically - and because of the cuts in the employees' salaries, their suffering doubled – it caused the death of many civilians due to hunger.

From here we took a step and bear the burden of saving these families as much as possible as per the potentials available with us, that we launched the first bakery to distribute free bread to the poorest and displaced families in the open and the needy and abstinent in need families in the city of Taiz, as The charity bakery started actively distributing bread to the poor, displaced and war-affected families in Taiz governorate. The bakery commenced with a capacity of 3 flour bags daily, production of 4000 bread a day and sponsoring  240 families a day as of 05/11/2016 till 12/12/2016.

Project Emergence

The bakery is the first bakery to be opened to distribute free bread to the abstinent in need and war-affected families, which was opened at the end of the year 2016, 01/11/2016.

Project's Beneficiaries Number

The bakery commenced with the support of 360 families, at its first phase by using 3 bags of flour per day, and then developing the bakery's working mechanisms, increased the number of beneficiaries during three stages to more than 1000 families and using 8 bags of flour daily till the end of 2017.

Project continuity

The project is continuing in its second year and is continuing until now, according to the suggested plan, the process of establishing a bakeries chain is ongoing.
